Cranking it Up.

This is our new Rat Trap.
I watched Ratty eating the stuff from the ground beneath our bird table.
Scabby Ratty.
So I set a spring trap - like a big mouse trap, at the table.
Woke at 6am as usual.
Looked out the window, and there was Ratty still stuffing his fat face.
And the trap?
Nowhere to be seen.
It must be attached to some other critter - hopefully a member of Ratty's family, who managed to clear off.

So this is the next step up.
This traps rats without killing them.
The lady in the shop said that it is small enough to fit into a bucket of water.
(Can't think why??)
Or, we could keep him as a pet.

If he does not come quietly, the next step is to buy a gun.

I will keep you posted with any developments.
