Would you trust this cat to guard your garden?

Well, if you would you're a fool! My mighty corgette seedlings were planted out in the now vacant patch of soil you see in today's blip. Yet alas, within two days they have been eaten by a mystery attacker who left behind only a slimey trail as a clue.

My cat, pictured, was left in charge of the plant's welfare and is demonstrating his scary face in the photo. It appears this was not enough.
