Guest Room Finished

A colleague at work, with the same due date as me, had her baby last weekend. He was six weeks early and weighed a colossal 8lb 10 ounce. This has worried me slightly - I don't want a whopper of a baby and it could happen any day... but we are far from prepared.

So this last weekend was spent with panic internet shopping and mastering Ikea. Ta da, we now have the guest room finished. It's ready and waiting for the parent's arrival. Although I'm guessing those Falconers might have to come and try it out first.

It made me think how things have changed. A few years ago, Simon's handiness was limited to searching yell for a plumber or asking me to call my dad. But all these Canadian's are very handy, so it must be rubbing off on him. Still, I'm not sure plumbing will ever be on his repertoire.
