Little Orphan

I came home today to a massacre of mice - a pair of hind legs there, another mouse there and found Macy, my ridiculously stupid but lovable cat, staring blankly at this wee baby, the last one left.
It was terrified, shaking so much I thought it might have organs dramatically rupturing inside its fat little baby belly and I feared it had been bitten and was going to die soon. So I put it in my top with some food but half an hour later the wee thing was hopping around again, so I put it in a box in the compost with some snacks.
I hope it survives!
