I managed to strip the beds, wash the linen and dry it all outside. About time too (that we had some sun - not that I washed the bed linen...) It was a beautiful day. Nick decided to work from home which meant my workspace was taken over for the day. I baked a lemon poppy seed cake instead. Helen came for lunch and we had a good catch up. Jo swung by for a mug of tea before the end of school and we chatted in the sunshine.

It was too good a day to stay at home, so once all the children had returned from school and chilled out for an hour or so we headed to the beach. We stopped for chips en route, ate them looking to the horizon and then had a good walk by the sea.
