Sauteed vegtables

A dinner picture of course, sautéed vegetables, with some pepperoni thrown in for good measure, and the some spaghetti squash as well. All prepared and cooked by me, despite an anxious wife checking that a) I didn't burn her kitchen down b) adding a bit of guidance in how to make it better (of course).

Today was one of those days which highlights what so many other people take for granted, making your other half dinner. A simple task, yet some what poignant as time is nearly up for me being here again.

It's not going unnoticed that I've just hit the two week mark for returning to the UK for the summer. From here on in the dark clouds build above, like they always did when it was time to leave. Next week will be worse for sure.

It'll be nice to see friends again when I get back, and it'll be nice to spend a few evenings at the Ace as well. But it'll be so bitter sweet that once I leave the UK again in September I'll be gone for the year. Might as well be a lifetime. Got to make the two weeks I have free in August count.

So tonight I'm utterly torn between enjoying being here, having to head back to the UK, seeing friends, and then more or less leaving for good.

Lets hope the week improves.
