School Daze

I hated school. Period. Hated going, being there and doing the work.

My kids, love it. Embrace it and enjoy the learning and social aspects of it everyday.

Sarahs class is learning about Geography and this teacher she has is Awesome. They asked friends and family of the students to mail them postcards from locations around the country and overseas.

I reached out to co-workers, family and others I know globally to assist my daughter. The first post card(s) came into the class today. Paris, Germany and her fav, Alaska. I reached out to a bunch of folks and I think the kids are going to be overwhelmed in these cards coming in. They are loving it. I tend to go overboard on things like this. I remember the charity event for my oldest class. The class who collected the most pennies got a pizza party. I walked into the bank and "cleand them out" of pennies. $40.00 bucks worth in one swipe. Add to raiding my family and neighbors pennies too. (it was for charity). The class had over $100 in pennies....

Anyhow, back to my ramblings on school. The teachers today are so much more personable and understanding of "kids". *** If you are a teacher: Thanks****
I remember being held after school in 4th grade to write "I will not do ______ (what ever the offense of the day was)" and after the kids were out of the classroom she was smoking at her desk? Times have changed.

I feel so lucky my kids embrace learning.
