Grant me powers

Tonight I'm catching up on my reading, Grant Morrison's Supergods. For those who don't know, Glasgow's own Morrison is one of the biggest writers in US comic books. He has a wondrous way with words and an unparalleled imagination.

In this book, due from Jonathan Cape (wot, no cowl?) in July, he looks at the links between superheroes and the gods, their nature as archetypes, both reflecting and influencing Man. It's fascinating.
