Prickly

I spotted these lovely purple thistles in the hedgerow this afternoon. It is still hot hot HOT here, no sign of the thundery downpour that was forecast for this afternoon.
I'm looking forward to my ice-skating lesson tonight, it will be a chance to cool off!
