Another reason to love Berlin.

Arrived in Berlin late last night after a 9.5 hour journey - I could have flown to Delhi in that time! Grateful for the nice guy who saw me walking around aimlessly outside a train station and showed me to the street my apartment is in. And didn't rob me. Typical of the kind of welcome you can expect in Berlin (although he was from Montreal!)

Another reason to love Berlin is how it doggedly resists capitalism's obsession with buying up space to put up swanky and unaffordable apartments. Take this disused airport called Tempelhof I walked around this afternoon for example. They haven't turned into a business park, or a Disneyland. For now, they're just letting locals and tourists like me walk down the runway and enjoy the scenery and nature. For free.
