EDINBURGH COLOURS

Saturday 25th - Armed Forces Day 2011 and the Red Arrows stream the Red, White and Blue dye as the pass over Holyrood House and Edinburgh City Centre.

Edinburgh being the official host of the 2011 Armed Forces Day also had flypasts from the Battle of Britain of Memorial Flight (BBMF) RAF Tornados from RAF Lossiemouth and a Eurofighter Typhoon from RAF Leuchars. On the ground the Army showed off many of their armoured vehicles and tanks and the Royal Navy had provided a Lynx helicopter on static display. On top of this almost 2,000 troops Marched down the famous Royal Mile. A top day showing our support for the troops!
