The wanderer returns

Rowan returned from Italy today complete with an enormous booty of things she had bought and a tan. It was so good to see her. I made feta and spinach tart to welcome her back (she loves it and begged me on the phone NOT to make pasta!) She filled us in on her trip whilst we ate and it sounds as though she had a great time. She was a little homesick, but her friends rallied round. Once she discovered how to call home all was well. She had taken an amazing video of one of the glassblowers of Murano making a horse. Every move was so precise and yet he made it look effortless. She bought herself a glass horse to remember it by. I asked her the same question as Sam - What was her favourite part of the holiday? - thankfully her reply was not being on the coach like boyo but visiting Burano - an island in the Venetian Lagoon.
