I see the Masterminds behind Edinburgh Royal Infirmary's resurgence as the hideous "Quarter Mile" development have told us that the wrought iron gates cannot be used by the public.

...especially due to the 8ft high blue sheet metal barrier.

Maybe the barrier came later but I am not giving them the benefit of the doubt.
