Prickly heat

Cor what a scorcher! Such a beautiful day today and definitely the hottest of the year so far. I sat in the garden talking to one of my neighbours for just over an hour and my chest has burnt!

I got lots of jobs done today including all the washing - I love to see an empty basket although it doesn't stay like that for long in this house! (Such little pleasures I get in life these days!!)

I photographed this thistle at my dad's house. It was very photogenic and this was my favourite picture although I didn't want to get too close as it was very spiky!
