Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens

So the weather is still perfect winter mountains weather here at the moment so we thought we'd go for a drive today.....

So up fairly early and got some lamb shanks cooking in the slow cooker (they smell so good right now after 9 hours cooking!!) and on the road. We drove a lap of the Blue Mountains, from Valley Heights down to the bottom and Richmond and then up the other side from us to Kurrajong- Bilpin-Mt Tomah-Bell and then to Blackheath-Medlow Bath-Leura and then back home to Valley Heights (anyone wanting to following along on Google Maps can now do so !!)

Kurrajong - Look around the shops
Bilpin- Apples and Rhubarb & Apple Pie (for dessert!)
Mt Tomah - Wander around the Botanics
Medlow Bath - Lunch at Browns Sidings(very nice Reuben Sandwich!!)
Leura - Bottle Shop and a bottle of this little beauty !

Home to the a fore mentioned Lamb Shanks and Sunday nights movie, Once Upon A Time In The West.....never seen it and just got it on Blu Ray so looking forward to it !!

Anyways thats the extended weekend over and its now time to go back to work...blah!
