Auf Wiedersehen!

Another day of so much to see and do ... and so hard to choose what to blip on this, the last day of our short holiday. But this model of a Bernstein sailing ship caught my eye - not sure what it was made of - maybe glass? - but beautifully crafted and displayed in the Berlin Museum of Technology.

Could have spent the whole day there, but we didn't. We also had a river trip round the city, giving different viewpoints of places we've been. A super day, and lovely weather culminating in a meal in a traditional Bavarian restaurant, where we tried a traditional Berlin speciality of Currywurst. Not 'haute cuisine' but tasty enough! Then, a walk around the East of Berlin that is a work in progress; old buildings being renovated. I'd love to come back in a few years and see the difference. All very interesting.

Finally, a fond farewell to our friends and time to pack our cases for an early start in the morning when we fly home again.
