Pamela Smith, Edinburgh & Megan Cowie, Portree

These two women undertook the Swim from Inver Beach, Raasay to the beach at Portree harbour. They started out at 0630 hours this morning and arrived at the beach in Portree shortly after 1000 hrs.

They were swimming for the charity ' Lucky2BHere' which raises funds to install life saving defibrillators in rural locations in and trains users throughout the Highlands of Scotland.

The feat is to my way of thinking amazing because a few months before this challenge was undertaken Pamela Smith could not swim. She has learnt to swim and then with Megan Cowie has swum from Inver Beach to Portree.

Needless to say when they arrived safely they were exhausted. But OH! What an achievement.
