Meadow flowers
Susie and I spotted a field of flowers and as the sun was shining and there was a handy lay-by, we stopped to take a picture or 30. Mostly I just stuck the camera randomly into the flowers and pressed the button. I think I achieved an interesting effect here, but probably I could have done better with a tripod and a bit of thoughtful composition.
We had to climb over a brand new padlocked gate labeled "Forestry Commission, Welcome." So I think these are maybe not just growing here naturally, but it was very pretty all the same.
The scene actually reminds me of birthday cards and table mats. I am not so old I can remember the days when this was a common sight.
