Rita's Reflections

Osier Marsh

I went back to this spot today hubby and dog free, so not to get moaned at by either of them! I wanted to take my time and put a bit more effort in today. What fantastic weather we've got for the latter part of the day.
In case your interested:
Osier Marsh is an area of wet woodland which has regenerated naturally on
pulverized fuel ash and contains a variety of willow species. Invertebrate interest includes
nationally scarce Musk Beetle Aromia moschata.
A Bat survey in 2005 counted six species of bats, and a possible roost of Nathusius?
pipistrelle, making it possibly one of the most important sites in the county.
