Evening in Southwold

My great friend S and I are in Southwold for three days - her really kind special birthday gift to me as I retired on that date this year, too. Our b&b overlooks the sea and you can see the pier - it doesn't get much better than that, for Southwold is one of my favourite places. I have many happy memories of it from trips that go back nearly 40 years. So sun, sea, showers (probably!) and some good walks planned for the next couple of days. Not to mention one or two Adnams (ales). Tonight we go to bed with the sound of the sea to lull us to sleep... bliss.
