Father's Day

Hubby was working overtime today so I spent the day cleaning the house, whilst H spent the day making more mess for me to clean! We had invited H's Gran and Papa for dinner so quick trip to the supermarket for some supplies, and then I cooked a sausage, apple and mustard dish - it's not very fancy, but it is a new recipe I discovered and it particularly tasty. This was followed by a strawberry pavlova.

It was my first attempt at making meringues and I did it in the oven last night. When I looked at it today, it really wasn't bad and I was very happy with my efforts. Minor disaster when I sat it on a plate on the kitchen work surface, and a cake tin slid off a tupperware dish and smashed half of it! Whoops!
