Greater butterfly-orchid
We had a lovely Midsummer's Eve at the allotment. Temperatures were around +18°C and it was mostly sunny. The Greater Butterfly-Orchid was flowering, as it should on Midsummer. It's pollinated by moths, hence the very long spur with nectar gifts to the pollinator. The scent is wonderful, but switched off during the days. It's only meant for the night creatures. :-)
