Was in Kilmarnock today and ended up walking passed the Burns Monument Centre in the Kay Park. This lion is one of two that I believe were repainted when the centre re-opened recently. However, as you can see the original sandstone, which I prefer, is beginning to show through. Maybe in time all the paint will peel and they will be back to their original state. Here's hoping it happens quickly.
