Excavation
A shot of our archaelogical excavation near Eindhoven, in the south of the Netherlands. We started last week but I didnt bring my camera then. It is an indigenous settlement from the Roman period, probably first century AD, on which my university has worked for several years. Our finds haven't been very spectacular (features of (the poles of) houses, pot shards, iron slags), but its been a nice experience.
The guy in the foreground is using a dumpy level to measure the height of certain spots in the excavated area.
