Gargoyles of York

We went for a look around York today; it's been years since I was last here. We did a bit of shopping then visited the Treasurer's Historic House and Gardens and York Minster. It's hard to believe that there still carrying out work after the dreadful fire of 1984. I think these two gargoyles can be found on St Michael's Church. Afterwards we headed across country to the Yorkshire Lavender farm at Terrington. Set up high on a hillside just 3 miles west of Castle Howard with spectacular panoramic views. Unfortunately it was too grey to fully appreciate them. We then decided to stop off at Whitby on our way home where we got absolutely drenched, but the fantastic fish and chips at Trenchers restaurant more than made up for it.
