On top of the world!

A wonderfully vibrant little insect atop this beautiful purple lupin, about to take flight.

Taken in the Prinses Beatrix Park on the outskirts of Schiedam during a brief respite from the pouring rain.

I'm still experimenting with the manual mode of my dslr so it's far from perfect but not a bad attempt! I can't wait til I upgrade my lens, hopefully with a top of the range macro.
