Oh so sweet...

Homegrown Strawberries are nothing like the ones you get in the shops - those are picked when not quite ripe and they just don't have the same flavour as sun ripened (or in my case, rain ripened) fruit.

Sweet & succulent is the first crop from my strawberry beds this year.

Yes, that is real straw on them - decided to go old fashioned this year as I was sick of muddy fruit last year. Works wonderfully well, too.
