Munlochy Bay, on the Black Isle, with yet another shower incoming.
The tide is in here. When it's out, most of the bay area is mudflats. Great for birdlife, with plenty of ducks and waders throughout the year. The local wildfowling club is fairly active at certain times of year, so I usually leave any exploring to Sundays when things are quieter. Access isn't that great, and wellies are recommended for many parts. Whilst there is a bird hide overlooking the bay, it's a very long distance from waters edge, so fairly useless for birdwatching (IMHO). Large flocks of geese (mainly Pinkfeet) winter hereabouts, often coming in to roost at dusk.
How lush things are just now.
