View from Cadillac Mountain

The day after the wedding we drove to Bar Harbor to see the town and followed the road through Acadia National Park to the summit of Cadillac Mountain. It is topped by beautiful pink granite, and the view from up there is spectacular. This shot shows Bar Island in the background and a boat heading toward the harbor.

The park is on Mount Desert Island in Maine. At 1,532 feet (467 m), Cadillac's summit is the highest point on the U.S. east coast.
