Tea?

80 Years is a lot of years. My nan turned 80 today so we was invited to an open house at her place to celebrate.

Got there & we were one of the last to arrive, so we got all the attention as we got there which isn't too bad. Mother nature obviously knew it was a special occasion so she brightened up the weather so we could enjoy the afternoon. So we had tea, cakes & other fancys to fill our appetite, which was accompanied by good chit chat & laughs. I don't see that side of the family as much as I would like. Especially as they are the side I prefer the most, which may be just because I see them less!

The cake was amazing, and as the photo will show, it was a play on the fact my nan only ever drinks tea (with 80 birthdays beforehand I figured someone would have had this idea already!). I didnt get a taste of the cake as my lift was tired, plus so was I, (I'm getting old :-/ ).

It was a pretty good day in all, work was fine, friends are okay & im fine. Life has been normal (which is the opposite of my blogs name :-/ ) hopefully I'll have something juicy for you next time!
