Rain? Where?

I have decided to spare you the grey shot of grey water and grey island and grey moored boats in Lamlash Bay! Annoyed with today's weather because I'm sure the rain could have whipped up like a window blind if it had made the effort.

Of course I could be a wet-weather golfer, a wet-weather gardener, a wet-weather walker : all these options and more are open to me. But I don't like rain and really, the East Anglian farmers have had enough now, surely!

Every year I 'save up' books I want to read in the summer months, preferably in the garden wearing a sunhat, but indoors if necessary. During term time I struggled to stay awake enough to concentrate on literary fiction so binged in the holiday period.

This year, of course, I am on an eternal holiday! These are my books for June,July, August & September. Let's hope I end up with sun lotion stains or sand on at least some of them!

Only omission is my Kindle ... there are others on it waiting to be read!
