Talkeetna Range

These mountains form the northern boundary of the Matanuska Susitna Valley whereas the Matanuska range is to the east and the Chugiach mountains are to the south. The Talkeetna mountains are not so dramatic as the others, but this dormant field set them off nicely to my eye. I'm anxious to see how it looks in the spring with a green pasture. So now you see how we're boxed in on three sides here in the valley.
