Kindergarten Promotion

This morning was Landon's kindergarten promotion. sniffle sniffle :'( My youngest actually graduated from kindergarten today. Wow. The ceremony was really crowded in our multi-purpose room (University Hall). The kinders sang several songs about leaving kindergarten and moving onto 1st grade. One song went along with the melody of the Adams Family! Another went along with the melody of New York, New York (see below):

Start spreading the news
We're leaving today.
We want to be a part of

We've worked very hard
Our teacher is proud.

We all can write our names

Nana joined me in going to the promotion ceremony as well as going to the classroom with the other parents to see the teacher receive class gift of a potted plant that had each of the kids fingerprints wrapped around it and turned into little bugs. We also presented her with a class gift basket full of gift cards and trinkets. She certainly deserved it!

Afterwards, all 3 boys got out early since the last day was a minimum day. They were relieved for summer to finally arrive....I, on the other hand, felt that the school year seemed to have flown by this year. His graduation cap reads "Class of 2027" (his college graduating year, not his high school grad year!)

In the evening I enjoyed going to my friend Kristin's lingerie bridal shower. She put me in charge of picture taking and so I took loads and loads of pics. The shower was at a beautiful home in an area that I'd love to live! She had a good turnout of her work/small group friends and got lots of cute stuff. It was a busy, but fun day all around.
