Land of Confusion

Evening all,

A short uninspired this evening of a somewhat slightly hidden and overlooked small patch of greenness in the bigger expanse of greenness that is the small parish of Oxspring where my father currently resides, or do when he can remember where he lives that is...

Had a Monday morning meeting with the bean counters which is always so depressing and 'strategic', today apparently everything was my fault and so the onus was on me....i can't wait to be strategic and politic no longer, the higher up you get, the less you remember about what you're there for in the first place, i think i reminded them though!

So, all i need to focus on is the remaining 23 years of my career, try to stay on top of inflation and cost of living, hope that the unions can protect my pension on the off chance that i manage to get to 66 to collect it, i may be able to buy myself a birthday card if i'm lucky..or maybe a calculator, a fixed grin, a complete disregard for anything that isn't on a spreadsheet and a soul as black as night, then i too can be a bean counter !!
