That's a Big Ship!

This is the biggest cruise liner coming into Kirkwall this year. She is the Crown Princess and has more than 3,000 folk on board. The town was bursting at the seams because as well as all these folk, there are already hundreds of people here for the St Magnus Festival.

I love being in town on days like this - the whole atmosphere is so much more colourful and cosmopolitan. Lots of different accents, languages and nationalities about, so interesting to just sit outside and people watch and see STRANGERS! Once in a while this is nice and makes a welcome change. But only once in a while . . . . !

Came back home to the peace and quiet of the village, ah - Bliss!
