Launch of Refugee Week 2011

Luckily last week is behind me and (so far) this week is looking good. I don't do my day job on a Monday but couldn't resist going to the launch of Refugee Work at The Tron Theatre tonight.

We were treated to snippets from various groups from dance to song and the interpretation of writing by refugees living in Glasgow. Powerful, beautiful and at times quite funny.

Christian who is in my picture is a basketball player and originally from DR Congo. He's lived in Glasgow for over 12 years & wants to play basketball for Scotland - bring on the Commonwealth Games!
