Succynicism.

This photo is both a blessing and a curse to me; on one hand it isn't a salt like I was looking for (it is in fact free succinic acid crystals), but on the other it shows that my camera is not broken like I feared it might have been.

It was taken at work where my current project involves trying to make salts between a base and a variety of acids. Three out of twenty five of my latest experiments produced solids, which were shown not to be salts by further analysis. So at the moment I'm not feeling too optimistic about it all.

Never mind. Just ate a deliciously oily chippy, so my spirits are high.
