Ladybird pupa

Woken up twice really early- once by cats/foxes and then by two blackbirds sounding a really loud alarm call under our open window for about 20 mins at 4.50 am.....not what you want after a long day and late night!

Busy day at work - deadlines looming again. Quick walk at lunchtime - didn't want to venture too far as it looked very grey and threatening again. Feet and hips a bit sore after our long London walk yesterday. Lots of bees around on the brambles and the first green berries forming.

Lots of ladybird larvae and pupae around too.

Raining again now. Washing so soggy it is hardly worth bringing it in.

Apparently it is nearly mid-summer......
