There are two kinds of statistics,
the kind you look up and the kind you make up. - (Rex Stout)
Well I've compiled these and you are welcome to look them up! I know some may find this mind-bogglingly boring, but leave me with a computer and a spreadsheet for a while and statistics show that I will within a given time, produce a pie-chart.
Anyway, this is a look at the types of Digital SLR cameras we are using on Blipfoto. It's a snapshot, as best as I could do for Saturday 18th June 2011. It is based on the postings made for that day up until Sunday 19th. Perhaps the powers that be at Blip could manipulate their databases to provide these figures on a regular basis?
You probably can't read the screen very well, so here is a synopsis:

It's very close between Canon and Nikon for overall use, leaving all other manufacturers way behind. Although the top ten has five of each, Canon has 4 of the top 5 places with the 400D and the 5D MkII leading the way and the Nikon D90 is at the number one slot by a comfortable margin.
APS-C sensors make up the vast majority of the day's sample, but it is perhaps significant that Full Frame sensors comprise 20% of the top ten by total cameras used.
I hope this has been of some interest to you. There is more data available, such as pixel counts etc, but I think I may have tried your patience already for one day.
Edit PS. Composing this, everything is in nice columns, but viewing it, it is all over the place.
Edit PPS: The number one camera of any sort for blipping appears to be the Apple iPhone. Just thought I'd let you know.
