Shiant Isles

A great trip out to the Shiant Isles, two hours by boat from Staffin. Weather a bit drizzly but sea nice and calm. Saw loads of sea birds, skua, puffin, fulmar, razorbill - with an expert on hand to provide instant identification. The boys caught loads of fish, some for eating and some for feeding to sea eagles. Spotted a minke whale and sailed through a huge pod of dolphins on the way home.

Took me ages to thaw out when I got home, but didn't feel that cold on the boat - that's what usually happens said the skipper.

Went with Peter and George from Brigadoon Boat Trips. Thanks to Ali and family for taking me along.
