Inside Hoad Monument
We finally got round to going inside Hoad Monument today. I've blipped the monument before but only from the Outside. It was built in 1850 as a memorial to Sir John Barrow (modelled on the earlier Eddystone lighthouse), it has recently undergone a huge restoration project and has now been re-opened to the public. There are 112 narrow steps leading to the top where there is a platform where I found that my legs weren't as stable as i thought. well worth a visit, check opening times though.
