The Big Man

"We made that change uptown and the Big Man joined the band". What's she talking about? Well, it's a line from "Tenth Avneue Freeze Out", and it's Bruce Springsteen singing about Clarence Clemons joining his band. A song Bruce talks of as the story of his band. Clarence died yesterday from complications of a stroke the previous week. His sax playing was fabulous on so many iconic songs. My favourites - Born to Run, The River, Thunder Road but his sax solo in Jungleland is really my no. 1 - I never tire of hearing it.

In other news this stomach bug has now claimed more victims - myself & my husband and also my daughter has also had a relapse!! YUK
