Lunch is out of reach
This leopard frog was resting on a log in a pool of swampy water in a wetland/park in Newmarket, Ontario. Up the stem was a pair of 12-spotted skimmer dragonflies in flagrante delicto too far for the old reptilian tongue. Before the frog could jump, the pair separated and one flew off while one remained. The frog never jumped and this dragonfly took off as I turned to leave.
