Dove of Peace

As I've had an animal themed week I thought I should include a bird. This bird is very close to my heart, about 11 inches away in fact.

This is a copy of Picasso's Dove of Peace chosen as the emblem for the First Internatonal Peace Festival in 1949.

Picasso named his fourth child Paloma, the spanish word for dove.

This is my only tattoo, I had planned to have Guernica but it turned out my arm just wasn't big enough :-)
