As I said on Friday, I just missed this little fellow.
I had a quick wander in between dropping Meles off and picking her up from the Walk for Life, and there he was.
I suspect that this may be the one Anth saw a couple of weeks ago up by Warriston; they are using heavy machinery to build new flood defences up there and I think that the disturbance has driven the kingfishers off from there.

Seeing kingfishers (Alcedo atthis) always lifts the heart.
