Bag Pipes on Simonside

This weekend has been spent in the wilds of Northumberland. My Dad and I and a couple of other father/son combos have been going away for hiking weekends for years. This one was pretty close to home in Rothbury.

On Friday night, one of the guy's friends was celebrating their 60th Birthday by climbing Simonside. He had spent his 60th year climbing 60 peaks and this was his 60th. Great atmosphere complete with Champagne, Smoked Salmon sandwiches and a bag piper. Only had my Iphone for pics but thought this made a nice shot.
