Even in real life today looks like a tourist postcard from the 70s, the colors just slightly off, people in strange bathing suits, the unreal blue waters, the sand just a bit too bleached out. Except this is my neighbor's young peacock, who hasn't grown in his resplendent plumage, and those are the Adirondack mountains.
