Memories!

Todays blip comes from Singapore. My good mate Stuart and his wife Kim are on a fantastic holiday in the far east. They started in Dubia, then Hong Kong, Singapore then a long stay in Phuket. Great eh?
Anyway the reason I am using this pic is:- I text Stuart today to ask if they were in Singapore yet and the answer was, just arrived today. I then told him of my first visit to Singapore in 1973. I spent 1 month in the Keppel dockyard in Singapore and then 1 month in a little place outside called Sembawang. The next text was amazing........Stuart and Kim were actually in a revolving restuarant over looking KEPPEL DOCKYARD at that very moment!!!!! Spookie or what??? He took the pic from the restuarant :-)
A lot of memories came flooding back today of my first time in Singapore and one funny one was the night I went out to buy cassettes. I went to the markets and found this stall where the cassettes were $1 each( about 20p). I bought 15 and was really looking forward to listening to them when i got back. Anyway as I tried them out only half were what they were supposed to be, the other half were Lynn Anderson singing Rose Garden!!!! lol. I went back the following night but needless to say the stall was gone!!!! :-)
