Head of the Rakia River
No room to put us at work while they check buildings and operate in emergency mode post-Monday's earthquakes.
I accompanied the hunter a couple of his friends to Coleridge. A stunning day and while not the best of lighting this shows the glorious setting of river bed and mountains. Usually there would be much more snow than this by now. It will come.
The small settlement of Coleridge consists of a few permanent residents, some retired or reclusive and a few who work at the small hydro power station. Over a ridge to the right of where I took this photo is Lake Coleridge.
It's a big landscape. I look at it with respect now I have first hand experience of the forces that have helped shape and create it.
