Thar she blows

Went on a whale watching trip today. There was a big swell and the water coming out of the harbour was dirty from all the rain but the sun was shining and it was a lovely day. We saw a few humpback whales and followed them for a while. No breaching, fin slapping or carrying on, it was full steam ahead. I heard on the news tonight that there were quite a few whales off Sydney having a right party. Pity they didn't make it to Newcastle when we were out.
